TARA's ELECTRONIC NEWSLETTER

from the pres:
death ride 1989 - cadalic corner Greetings!
This is an "in-between" newsletter that I will use to keep us up to date!

Last newsletter I reported the Scholarship fund had been reinstated. Well, that has now been rescinded. I am proud that the board expressed their concern for both the finical responsibilities to the club and making waves for a presidentially "pushed" program. The final concept involves different avenues for exposing TARA to the local community. I support them and look forward to working with these individuals who truly look out for the membership's best interests.

And in that same vein, I've spoken with the local Boy's and Girl's club about TARA presenting a program to the youth group. They would like a written draft of what we have to offer and how we would like to present it. I'll be looking for volunteers at our next club meeting.

This April Meeting is a busy one, with elections, van training, and a public invited demonstration of our van in operation. Please plan on attending and helping out with all the activities.

AND, don't forget we have an "ELECTION"!!! While the officers slate will remain unopposed, the directors positions are filled with enthusiastic volunteers. Indeed, a tough call as all are well qualified and possess the qualities we need to continue TARA's continued success for the coming year!

Repeater Systems

TARA SYSTEMS REPORT - April 2003
220 packet Node Beam at AR This months news includes the return of the UHF link to the WEST!
Frank, wa6bth, has made some repairs to the Mt. VACA repeater and our 442.475 repeater is now on-line with Mt. Vaca (440.750, PL of 100hz). While not "ALL the WAY" to the coast, Frank tells me he'll be tackling Mt Volmer next, allowing us to speak to the bay area in the very near future. I'll post more info to the systems page on the web site soon! 73 Paul, wa6ewv
