General meeting called to order May 10, 2003 at the Zephyr Cove Library, Zephyr Cove, NV by President Paul, WA6EWV. 1. Meeting opened at 1:03 PM with 22 self introductions. 2. Bruce, N7CPP was presented with an immpressive plaque in honor of his many years of service to TARA as a board member and his participation in the club's activities. He is stepping down from the board this year, however he will remain as Net Control Manager. 3. April 22 minutes appeared in the TARA newsletter and accepted. 4. Mauro, WA6SIM reported the theft of his computers containing TARA's records. Those records have been reconciled and the Bank of America has put a code 11 on the account for monitoring. 5. Al, KD7MXR reports the membership at 78. 6. Field Day may be added to the upcoming special events. Mauro and Dick, W6MBB checked into the Elk's Club location in Meyers with tentative approval and are looking for 20 volunteers. 7. Paul expects to get to the repeater site after the 23rd and gave a complete report indentifying additional coverage from other repeaters and mentioning the enviromental report required at the site. 8. Jack, KT6JS volunteered to give the weather report from South Lake Tahoe for the Monday evening Heavenly Valley net and Kirby, N7NM relinquished that position. 9. Penny and Bob, NR7A will get together with Paul referencing the new badges. Samples will be forthcoming. 10. Jo Ann, N7MBM will pursue Tequila Dan's in Carson City, NV for availability and menu for the next Christmas party. 11. Paul read the proposal for the Boys and Girls club from Al, KD7MXR. 12. Dick, W6MBB was not present for the $40.00 drawing. Matt, W7KJU motioned to close at 2:03 PM. John seconded. All ayed.
